What were the EMAs? A horrible fashion show? Clicking through the pictures, I found more bad than good. Not shockingly, Miley Cyrus went for a jaw-dropping monstrosity almost obviously intended to generate publicity. Katy Perry wore the exact same colour that she did to the Grammys, except this time reminded me of a pastel Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. Ariana Grande's dress is reminiscent of a slip, and Ellie Goulding's ensemble belongs beachside - and should stay there.
British clothing store Topshop - famous for its celebrity followers, from Kate Moss to Demi Lovato - announced its latest collaboration earlier this morning. For its Spring 2014 collection, Topshop will design with fellow British designers Meadham Kirchhoff. The brand's SS14 show at London Fashion Week was inspired by various time periods in Britain's Fashion history, from La Belle Epoque boudoirs to playful parts of the Elizabethan/Jacobean era. Designers Edward Meadham and Benjamin Kirchhoff incorporated whimsy into their latest collection, proving a collaboration with Topshop is a match made in fashion heaven. Topshop's collections are often inspired by many aspects of the style spectrum, incorporating bohemian flare, leather and studs, lace, and denim into each collection. The eclectic mix appeals to a wide range of customers, and it feels as though Meadham Kirchhoff's collaboration will blend perfectly. Below is a slideshow of Meadham Kirchhoff's SS14 collection on the London Fashion Week runway. |
